Variety description

10 August 2026

The BLACK STAR IRRAGIATA tree has medium growth vigor, reaching a height of 3–5 meters. The crown has a pyramidal shape and medium density. The variety enters into fruiting 2–3 years after planting.

The spherical fruits reach a weight of 80–180 g. The skin is colored from dark burgundy to purple and is covered with a glaucous waxy bloom. The flesh is firm and juicy, light yellow or green-yellow in color, and has a sweet dessert taste.

The harvest ripens in the second half of August to the beginning of September. The fruits have universal use, are distinguished by high marketability, and can be stored for up to two weeks. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and resistance to diseases.
