The variety belongs to diploid plums, which are often classified as cherry plums or Russian plums. The tree has medium vigor, reaching 3–4 meters in height, and forms a spreading, rounded, not very dense crown.
Fruits weighing from 50 to 150 g ripen in the first ten days of August. The skin is dark blue, almost black, with a glaucous waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow-pink, juicy, firm, with a sweet and sour dessert flavor. The stone is medium-sized; according to various sources, it separates well or partially.
The variety has high winter hardiness (down to -25...-30°C) and resistance to fungal diseases, moniliosis, and cherry shot hole disease. Information regarding the self-fertility of the variety is contradictory: some sources indicate self-fertility, while others indicate self-sterility and the need for pollinator varieties.
