The variety is of American origin and belongs to the Japanese plum group. The fruits are characterized by the presence of a relatively large stone and meet the accepted quality standards for commercial cultivation. Research shows that the variety has a specific reaction to storage conditions and the influence of external factors, such as cold.

Flowering of the plant under trial climatic conditions occurs at the end of March. In comparative analyses with other Chinese plum varieties, this variety demonstrated a lower content of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity.
