The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a spreading crown. The variety belongs to the very early category; in warm climatic conditions, harvesting begins in May or early June.
Fruits are of medium or small size and possess bright red skin and yellow-orange, sometimes amber, flesh. The fruit skin may have a specific astringent taste.
The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator trees, for which the varieties Santa Rosa, Billington, or Ambra are recommended.
