Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing the Duarte and Wickson varieties. The plant is characterized as a vigorous tree with a narrow pyramidal or compact crown of medium density. The variety is precocious, entering into fruiting 2–5 years after planting.

The fruits have a heart shape and a weight of 50–120 g. The skin is green-red, burgundy, with a thick waxy bloom and golden dots. The flesh is firm, fleshy, juicy, and beetroot-burgundy in color. The taste is sweet and sour, with a pleasant aroma.

The variety belongs to the mid-early or mid-season ripening group. It is characterized by high yield, winter hardiness, and resistance to diseases, particularly to fruit rot. The transportability of the fruits is good.

The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators from among diploid plums (for example, Shiro, Ozark Premier, Starking Delicious). It can act as a pollinator for other diploid varieties.
