The variety is the result of breeding work started in 1946. The trees are characterized by weak growth. Under certain conditions, the variety shows a capacity for parthenocarpy, although fruit set may be low due to insufficient pollination.

The fruits are of the dessert type and are intended for fresh consumption. The variety is being studied for its biochemical composition, in particular the content of phenolic compounds, as well as in the context of resistance to fire blight Erwinia amylovora.
