CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is characterized by moderately strong growth up to 4–5 meters. After entering the fruiting stage, growth slows down, the crown is of medium density, and branches tend to hang down. The variety exhibits high precocity, starting to bear fruit from the second year after planting, and is partially self-fertile.
The fruits are medium to large in size, pear-shaped, sometimes slightly elongated. The skin is smooth, yellow-green in color; as it ripens in the sun, a reddish blush and bronze dots appear. The flesh is white, tender, melting and juicy, with a sweet taste with notes of banana, citrus, and lychee.
The variety is resistant to major diseases, including scab, and has frost resistance down to -20°C. It prefers fertile, well-drained soils. To obtain consistently high yields, planting pollinator varieties is recommended.
