CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the autumn maturity group, with harvesting taking place from September to early October. Trees are characterized by medium vigor and form a dense, broad-pyramidal crown that is easy to prune and shape.
The fruits have a characteristic elongated shape, often described as "swan-like," and can reach large sizes. Skin color varies from greenish-yellow to golden or bronze, sometimes with a pink blush. The interior of the fruit features white or yellowish-white, melting flesh with high juice content.
The winter hardiness level of the variety is assessed as moderate; the tree is sensitive to severe cold and late spring frosts. Disease resistance varies: low susceptibility to fire blight is noted, while the tree may be vulnerable to bacterial blossom blight (Pseudomonas), and data regarding resistance to scab are contradictory.
