The FEGATELLA variety is a local Italian genetic resource. The fruits are of the autumn type, and they are harvested in the period from September to October. A key visual characteristic of the variety is the very dark color of the skin.

In agronomic studies, a phenotypic similarity of the variety to the Al Burro variety is noted, which led to confusion when labeling these species. The variety is of interest primarily for the conservation of biological diversity.
