The variety is classified as summer-autumn. Harvesting takes place from the fourth week of August to the first week of September, with the fruits maintaining marketable quality for sale from September to the end of April.
Upon ripening, the fruits change color from greenish to bright red and ruby-red with yellowish stripes; the red blush can cover more than 50% of the skin surface. To control tree vigor and improve fruit quality, the variety is grafted onto various quince or pear rootstocks.
