The variety is a hybrid developed during a Swedish-Norwegian breeding project. The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 3 to 7 meters, and forms a canopy with predominantly upright branches. The variety is characterized by precocity and high yield.
Fruits are of medium to large size, having an elongated pear-shaped or club-shaped form. The skin is green, often with a red blush. The flesh is white, juicy and tender, without stone cells, possessing a sweet taste and aroma. Harvest takes place in October, with the consumption period lasting from November to January.
The variety possesses good winter hardiness and resistance to diseases. Flowering is medium-early. For cross-pollination, the varieties Conference, Clara Frijs, Esperens Herre and Anna are suitable, while the Fritjof variety itself can act as a pollinator for other varieties.
