CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
Trees are medium-sized; at a young age the crown has a pyramidal shape, which becomes rounded and dense with age. The variety is a summer type, fruits ripen in the first ten days of August. The tree can be used as a pollinator for other pear varieties, and when grown on quince rootstock, it enters fruiting in 2–3 years.
Fruits are large, weighing 180–230 g, of short-pyriform shape with smooth tender skin. The fruit color changes from greenish-yellow at harvest to golden-yellow with a red blush at full maturity. The flesh is white, fragrant and juicy. The variety is characterized by high frost and drought tolerance, however, fruits are prone to shedding when overripe.
