Fruits ripen in late July — early August and possess juicy flesh and a pleasant taste. There are clonal varieties, such as «Кошия ранняя» and «Кошия поздняя». In cold storage conditions, fruits can be stored for up to 2–3 months when using controlled atmosphere technologies.
The variety is characterized by poor compatibility with quince rootstock, which requires the use of an intermediate graft (interstock) during grafting. The variety serves as a pollinator for a number of pears, including «Санта-Мария» and «Белла ди Джун», and is widely distributed in the countries of the Balkan region and Italy.
