The KOOLSTOK variety is an old folk type of pear, typical for the Belgian province of Limburg. The tree is distinguished by its rusticity, that is, high adaptability to local conditions, and forms a pyramidal crown.
Fruits of this variety ripen at the earliest dates. The appearance of the fruits is described as attractive, however, their flavor qualities are weakly expressed. The variety was traditionally grown in orchards and is currently preserved as an object of cultural heritage.
