The fruits of this variety belong to the category of some of the largest among pears. The flesh is tender, aromatic, and possesses taste qualities reminiscent of the «Вильямс» variety. For production purposes, the variety is used as a dessert pear, as well as for processing, in particular, for the production of fruit distillates.

The variety ripens in late August — early September. Within the territory of the former USSR, its distribution was limited primarily to Crimea and the North Caucasus. The winter hardiness of the variety is assessed as quite good.
