The tree grows vigorously at a young age, eventually forming a wide pyramidal crown. The broad pear-shaped fruits reach a weight of 200–250 g, with individual specimens reaching 400–500 g. The dense yellow or golden skin is covered with russet spots. The flesh is creamy white, juicy, melting, with a spicy aroma and a minimal content of stone cells.

The variety is an autumn one: the harvest is collected in the first half of September for consumption in September–October. The dessert-type fruits can be stored under normal conditions for up to 3 weeks. The tree is undemanding to soils and possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to scab and moniliosis. Due to triploidy, the variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators such as Clapp's Favorite, Williams, or Beurré Hardy.
