The tree is vigorous, forming a large, highly arched or broadly pyramidal crown. Fruits are small or medium-sized, weighing 50–100 g, round or top-shaped. The fruit skin is yellow-green, often covered with grey or brownish russeting.

The fruit flesh is firm, coarse-grained, containing a high amount of sugar and tannins. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-to-late October. The variety is characterized by high resistance to frost and unfavorable soil conditions, and shows low to medium susceptibility to scab.

Fresh consumption of the variety is limited due to its specific taste and firm flesh. The main purpose is industrial processing, in particular the production of fruit wine and use for clarifying other juices, as well as drying and the production of alcoholic beverages.
