The variety is considered antique, having originated in Italy around 1700 as a selection from the Precoce di Moglia variety. The fruits are primarily consumed fresh. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor, reaching a height of about 4.5 meters.

The fruits are small in size and pear-shaped. The skin is smooth, yellow in color with a red blush on the sunny side. The flesh is white, juicy, sweet, and aromatic.

The variety is classified as early-summer, although ripening dates may vary depending on the region. The plant is drought-tolerant and partially self-fertile; cross-pollination is recommended to increase yield.
