The variety is a vigorous tree with a broad-pyramidal or broad-bushy crown. According to modern pomological data, this name often conceals the Elbersdorfer Butterbirne variety. The plant is characterized by its hardiness and ability to bear fruit regularly.
The fruits are truncate-conical or ovoid in shape and weigh from 180 to 350 g. Upon ripening, the skin acquires a golden-yellow color, often with russet spots and a possible blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, buttery and sweet, and may possess a slight astringency.
The variety is an autumn one: the fruits ripen in September, and their consumption period falls in October. The plant is considered robust, but may be susceptible to scab. The variety is triploid and is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.
