CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is characterized as quite vigorous with an upright growth habit. Actual height depends on the rootstock: on vigorous rootstocks it reaches 6 meters or more, on dwarfing rootstocks it is limited to 2.5–3.5 meters. The variety is a triploid, therefore it is sterile as a pollinator for other varieties and itself requires the presence of pollinators from flowering group D to produce a crop. A tendency towards alternate bearing is noted.
Fruits are large, conical or pear-shaped. The skin is pale green at harvest, yellowing upon ripening, often with brown russeting of varying intensity. The flesh is creamy white, delicate, soft, very juicy, and buttery. The variety has good disease resistance indicators, high growth vigor, and is intended for fresh consumption.
