The fruits of the variety have a pyriform or turbinate shape, the pale yellow skin is often accompanied by a carmine blush on the sunny side. The flesh is white, fine and melting, characterized by a sweet taste.
The variety is classified as winter; the consumption period for the fruits lasts from November to March. For cultivation, the use of a wild pear rootstock is recommended.
Given its age, the variety is more often preserved in collections and amateur nurseries than used in commercial horticulture.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
