The variety is historical and officially recognized as well-known. It is mentioned in the works of Oberdieck «Handbuch der Obstkunde» of 1879 and «Deutschlands beste Obstsorten» of 1881, which confirms its ancient origin.

The variety is included in the lists of the Federal Plant Variety Office of Germany and the network for the conservation of fruit crop variety diversity. A detailed description of its morphological and economic characteristics is absent in modern agronomic reference books.
