Trees of the WILLIAM'S variety are weak- or medium-growing, reaching a height of 3 to 6 meters depending on conditions and the rootstock. The crown typically has a broad-pyramidal or rounded-pyramidal shape with good foliage density. The variety is characterized as partially self-fertile, requiring cross-pollination to increase yield.
Fruits are of medium or large size, pear-shaped, often with bumpiness on the surface. During the ripening process, the skin color changes from green to light yellow. The fruit flesh is white or cream in color, distinguished by juiciness, tenderness, and a pronounced aroma. The variety is late-summer, with harvest maturity occurring in the second ten-day period of August.
The variety is considered versatile; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for all types of technical processing, including drying, canning, and juice production. The plant is moderately demanding of growing conditions, possesses low frost resistance, and is sensitive to a number of diseases.
