The variety Grüne Hansa (synonym Weiße Triumphbeere) belongs to mid-early crops with a harvest period in early July. The plant is distinguished by vigorous growth and strongly thorny shoots. The variety possesses good winter hardiness and high viability, having medium susceptibility to American powdery mildew.
The berries are large, with light pubescence and a delicate aroma. A feature is the tendency of the fruits to darken during heat treatment. The variety was used in jostaberry breeding as a parent component to improve disease resistance and pass on large-fruited traits.
