The variety is derived from a 'Hönings Früheste' seedling and forms vigorous bushes with drooping branches and thorny shoots. The berries have a broad-oval shape, light-green or green-white color, feature a sweet-sour taste and thick skin, but are prone to cracking.
The plant belongs to the category of old varieties, characterized by high susceptibility to American gooseberry mildew and leaf spots. The bushes are also prone to damage from spring frosts, despite high yields.
