The shrub is vigorous, reaching a height of 1.5–2.5 m; the shoots have no spines. The variety is characterized by late flowering, which helps avoid damage from spring frosts, and fruit ripening occurs at the end of June.

The fruit size occupies an intermediate position between the parent forms, has a sweet-and-sour taste with a pronounced currant aroma, and is suitable for fresh consumption or processing. The plant has general disease resistance, however, it may be susceptible to powdery mildew and columnar rust.

The variety is used as a fruit crop and for decorative purposes, including the creation of hedges.
