The variety was obtained by crossing Carnival and Willamette varieties. The plant forms long, upright canes that require trellis cultivation. Medium-sized fruits have a good flavor and aroma and separate easily from the receptacle, making them suitable for freezing.

The variety possesses resistance to fruit rot (Botrytis cinerea) and the North American strain of Raspberry bushy dwarf virus due to the presence of the Bu gene, though it may show susceptibility to root rot. During summer bearing, a small second harvest may occur in the autumn period.
