The variety is a thornless mutation (sport) of the variety «Sleeping Beauty», discovered in 2001. The plant is a tetraploid hybrid combining genetic material from the species R. allegheniensis, R. trivialis, R. argutus, R. ulmifolius, and R. procerus.
The plant has a semi-erect growth habit and lacks thorns on the canes. The variety is characterized by a low chilling hour requirement and is intended for fresh market production.
