Variety description

The plant reaches 1.8–2.4 meters in height with a width of 0.9–1.2 meters. Large serrated leaves have a grayish-green shade in spring, turning dark burgundy under sunlight. Small pale pink flowers are gathered in large corymbose inflorescences and possess a musky aroma.
The variety is intended for vertical landscaping and creating hedges. Dark black-purple berries ripen in late summer and are suitable for processing. The plant is adapted to various soil types, tolerates short-term waterlogging and road salt.
Regular pruning at the end of winter is recommended to maintain the shape of the shrub. To increase fruit yield, it is recommended to plant other varieties of Sambucus nigra nearby to ensure cross-pollination.
