The Chorna Ruta variety is a shrub 3–5 meters high. The variety name is due to the color of the fruits and the high content of rutin in the flowers. The plant is characterized by stable yield, forms large clusters of berries, and ripens from August to September.

The plant is distinguished by high winter hardiness and low maintenance requirements, successfully adapting to various growing conditions. The fruits have good transportability and are suitable for use in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. The variety is suitable for mechanized maintenance.
