The Ina variety was bred by specialists at the Research Station for Fruit Growing in Vâlcea. The plant's fruits are used in the production of jams, syrups, alcoholic beverages, and in the pharmaceutical industry.

The plant is noted for good yield, allowing for the harvest of up to 13 kg of fruit per bush. Currently, work is underway on the standardization of morphological descriptors to ensure the authenticity of the variety.
