The variety is the result of interspecific hybridization and is characterized by a high tillering potential, especially in the autumn period, which ensures the formation of a large vegetative mass. The plant is distinguished by late heading, which allows for extending the growing season and harvesting for fodder in April-May.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -20°C, and demonstrates low susceptibility to diseases. Primary application includes use as a pasture crop, a source for silage or haylage preparation, and a means for restoring soil organic matter reserves.
