The variety is a tetraploid plant of the winter type. It possesses a deep and vigorous root system, as well as high tolerance to heat and drought, and good winter hardiness, exceeding the indicators of the parental forms.

The grain productivity of the hybrid is often lower than that of modern cultivated rye, which is due to the redistribution of resources for perennial regrowth and partial pollen sterility. Currently, it is used primarily for breeding purposes as material for the development of perennial grain crops and forage mixtures.
