The Favorita variety plant is characterized by high growth energy and developed foliage. Tubers have an oval or elongated-oval shape, smooth yellow or light golden skin, and shallow eyes.

The variety belongs to the waxy types with low starch content. It stores well but is not intended for mashed potatoes or deep frying. Disease resistance is assessed as moderate; there is conflicting data regarding susceptibility to late blight.
