The variety is an experimental specimen created using 2S1® grafted hybrid technology. The method consists of joining the skin cells of the Pimpernel variety, which possesses drought tolerance, with the core tuber cells of the Bintje variety, known for high yield.
The primary purpose of the specimen is to demonstrate the capability of the technology to rapidly combine valuable traits of different varieties without conducting lengthy breeding work. Data on agronomic and morphological traits for the variety as a commercial product are absent.
