The variety was obtained by crossing the variety Olympus with breeding line 98-HIG-16.4. Tubers have shallow eyes, white skin, and cream flesh.
The variety is resistant to potato cyst nematode, scab, skin spot, spraing, and mechanical damage. Resistance to late blight of foliage and tubers is at an average level.
The variety is characterized by suitability for long-term storage at low temperatures due to low accumulation of reducing sugars, which reduces the formation of acrylamide during thermal processing.
