The diploid variety Primavera, developed by the National University of Colombia, belongs to the species Solanum phureja. The tubers are characterized by colored red-violet and cream flesh, contain an increased amount of anthocyanins, and are used to create products with antioxidant properties.
In other industry materials, Primavera is described as a table variety for French fry production. This potato is distinguished by a high dry matter content at the beginning of the growing season and possesses resistance to tuber spotting.
