The Siikli potato is an early table variety derived from the parent forms Böhm 155/06 and Juli. The tubers have an elongated-oval shape. In cooking, the variety is valued for its firm flesh, which does not boil over during heat treatment, making it suitable for salads, soups, and frying.
The variety is resistant to potato wart, but is characterized by susceptibility to viral diseases, late blight, and common scab. It is intended for fresh consumption and has become widespread as a culinary variety.
