The plant has a narrow conical crown shape and reaches 2–4 meters in height with a width of 1–1.5 meters. The needles are scale-like, golden-yellow or yellow-green in color, and may acquire a bronze hue in winter. The intensity of the coloration depends on the lighting of the site.

The variety prefers fresh, moderately moist, well-drained soils. The plant does not tolerate stagnant water or severe drought well. The variety is characterized by good frost hardiness and is suitable for solitary and group plantings, as well as for creating hedges.
