Variety description

The variety is a mutation of Thuja occidentalis 'Rheingold'. The plant has a slow growth rate, reaching a height of about 60 cm by the age of ten, and from 1 to 1.5 meters when mature. The shrub forms a dense rounded crown.
The needles have pronounced seasonal variability: in spring they are golden-lemon, in summer they become greenish with red-orange growth, and in autumn they acquire a golden-amber hue. The variety is suitable for cultivation in hardiness zones 4–9, prefers sunny locations or partial shade and well-drained soils.
The plant is used in landscape design for creating borders, low hedges, single plantings, as well as for placement in containers and rock gardens.
