The variety is a compact, upright, conical shrub that originated as a spontaneous branch mutation of the Thuja Smaragd variety. The mature plant reaches a height of 1.8–2.4 meters and a width of 0.3–0.9 meters. The plant possesses a self-maintaining, dense crown shape.
The foliage has a golden-yellow color that persists throughout the season, with an orange-yellow tint in the winter period. The variety has high winter hardiness (USDA zone 3–7) and withstands temperatures down to -40°C. The plant prefers sunny locations or partial shade, moist, well-drained soils with a neutral or alkaline reaction, and tolerates drought poorly.
The variety is resistant to pests and diseases. It is used in landscape design for creating hedges, borders, container cultivation, and as an accent vertical element in compositions.
