Variety description

The variety has a conical crown shape, the density of which may decrease with age. The foliage is scaly; during the growing season, it is golden-yellow in color, turning a light green shade in winter. The plant is characterized by a slow growth rate, reaching a height of about 2–3 meters at maturity.

The plant possesses high winter hardiness and tolerates low temperatures, and is also resistant to strong wind gusts and sunburn. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas and fertile, moderately moist soils. It is sensitive to prolonged drought.

The variety is used in solitary plantings, plant compositions, for growing in containers, and for creating hedges. The crown shape of the variety is compared to the «Smaragd» Thuja.
