The variety was selected in Germany around 1900. The plant is characterized by slow growth and reaches a height of 2 to 4 meters. In its young age, the crown is rounded, globose, or cushion-shaped, and over time it becomes elongated, broadly ovoid, or broadly conical.

The needles are delicate, of needle and scale type. In summer, they have a golden-yellow color, sometimes with an orange tint, and in winter, they acquire a bronze-brown or copper color.

The plant is frost-hardy (USDA zone 3), undemanding to growing conditions, and tolerates the urban environment well. It prefers moderately moist and fertile soils. The variety is suitable for pruning and is used in group plantings, rock gardens, hedges, or container landscaping.
