The variety is the result of breeding local Austrian populations. It possesses a favorable leaf-to-stem ratio and increased protein content. Under an intensive management regime, it allows for up to four cuts per year, and with three cuts, the stands can be utilized for up to four years.

The plant is distinguished by winter hardiness and high adaptability, which allows it to be used in harsh climatic conditions. The variety is suitable for an intensive green fodder conveyor, is often used in organic farming, and is included in forage grass mixtures.
