Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was developed from spelt lines with red ears. The plant belongs to tall and mid-late types. It is characterized by very high winter hardiness and the ability to tolerate drought conditions well, making it suitable for extensive cultivation.

The variety has low lodging resistance. Susceptibility to foliar diseases is at the level of other traditional varieties: high susceptibility to leaf rust, yellow rust, and powdery mildew is noted, and medium to Septoria.

The grain is distinguished by a high content of protein and wet gluten, as well as a high thousand kernel weight and test weight, which ensures easy dehulling. The produce is used for the production of baking flour and Grünkern (green spelt). The variety is a pure spelt type without any admixture of common wheat genes.
