Variety description

10 August 2026

The spring soft wheat variety Ardila is characterized by high adaptation to elevated temperatures and a low level of susceptibility to heat stress during the grain filling period. When exposed to heat stress, the variety demonstrates a tendency toward an increase in grain protein content.

The grain of the variety possesses high test weight, corresponding to the category of heavy wheat. The plant is capable of accumulating significant levels of zinc, which allows it to be considered a promising subject for biofortification. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and is suitable for baking purposes with high flour stability indicators.
