The variety is the result of a three-way cross of Rieti, Wilhelmina, and Akakomugi. It belongs to the group of very early-maturing wheat varieties, ready for threshing among the first.
The presence of dwarfing genes Rht8 and Rht9 allowed the variety to demonstrate high lodging resistance and productivity. The grain is distinguished by an increased protein content compared to other heirloom varieties.
The genetic composition of the variety includes disease resistance genes, such as Lr34. Today, the variety is classified as an heirloom and is used in niche bakery production, as well as in breeding programs.
