The ĐAKOVČANKA variety was created by the Croatian Bc Institute as part of a program for developing wheat for industrial cultivation. In publications of that period, the variety was mentioned among those for which breeders worked on traits of semi-dwarfism and increased sowing density.
Currently, the variety is considered historical and has been withdrawn from active commercial circulation. Detailed agronomic characteristics, such as precise grain quality indicators or specific disease resistance, are not detailed in open technical sources.
