The winter wheat variety DUNAVKA has two lines of origin: Croatian, created by the Agricultural Institute in Osijek, and Bulgarian, developed by the K. Malkov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources.
Scientific studies characterize the Croatian variety as a subject for studying the variability of productivity components, including grain weight per plant and spike length. The variety is also used in comparative analyses of protein and starch content to evaluate wheat quality.
