The variety is a short-stemmed plant with a height of 80–90 cm and an awned ear. The plant is characterized by resistance to lodging and grain shattering.
The red-colored grain has a thousand kernel weight in the range of 38.5–44 g. Protein content is 12–14%, crude gluten 24–28%, which corresponds to quality group "B" according to the Bulgarian classification.
The variety is intended for the production of bakery and confectionery products and is often used as a standard sample in scientific research.
